Essbase 21c Upgrade Primer: Approaches, Tips, and Tricks for Data Integration and Modern Automation

Essbase administrators, developers, and power users will learn tips on how to leverage Essbase 21c's new and improved powerful integration and automation capabilities during the upgrade process.

This session will review the modernized version of Dimension Build and Data Load rules, their use cases, and tips on how to shortcut common hiccups during the migration of SQL Load Rules. Technical tips will include converting common legacy ASO automation to a new and improved Essbase 21c Approach. We'll categorize and call out which legacy automation commands should be replaced by cli or REST API automation, and which should remain in MaxL. And finally, we will cover the new simplified process of backing up Essbase Applications.
